The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is specifically engineered to remove black smoke (referred to as particulate matter or PM) from the exhaust of diesel engines, significantly contributing to cleaner emissions from diesel vehicles and garnering considerable interest from manufacturers worldwide. The most effective design is the wall-flow filter, which removes particulate matter through physical filtration utilizing a honeycomb structure, akin to an emissions catalyst substrate, but with alternate ends of the channels blocked. The DPF is ideal for purifying exhaust gases from a variety of diesel vehicles and marine vessels. We offer DPFs made from various materials, including cordierite and silicon carbide.
